Bamboo is the fastest growing woody plant in the world (up to a meter per day) and does not require pesticides or fertilizers to thrive, making the growth process highly sustainable and environmentally friendly. Bamboo also absorbs carbon dioxide gases and generates up to 35% more oxygen than most other trees. Bamboo grows incredibly quickly (up to 3 meters/day) reaching maturity after just two months, allowing for frequent re-harvesting. Though the stalks are firm, the fibers smooth, soft and durable.
Our bamboo is woven rurally by a fair wage, family owned workshop in Nepal.
